Another day
Its 6 pm, on the shore I watch the sunset,
The blazing ball of fire shall raise again, no rest.
The day’s ended, birds perched in their nest.
Another day gone by, the futures left.
Watching a couple walk hand in hand,
Ocean under their feet, winds keep them bound,
The day’s ended, promises sounded
Memories they relish, life they plan, love surrounded.
People driving home after work,
Kids’ finishing up homework, mom’s preparing supper,
The day’s ended, tomorrow stands ahead,
With sunrise, another day begins.
24 times the hour glass’ been turned,
Every minute, like the sand has slipped.
The day’s ended; I’ve grown a day older,
To life the experiences I solder.
